As we enter the final year of the VIPCOAT Horizon project, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on Elsyca’s journey with the VIPCOAT project and our partners. In today’s ever-evolving landscape of technology and innovation, it’s always a rewarding experience to be part of a project that aligns leading technological partners with our company’s goals.
For Elsyca, the VIPCOAT project has been one such exciting journey, where we had the opportunity to expand our technological expertise and enhance our existing cutting-edge solutions in corrosion modeling.
A New Era in Corrosion Modeling
Elsyca, in collaboration with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), has long been at the forefront of developing advanced multi-ion transport and reaction models. The VIPCOAT project has served as a catalyst to revitalize and extend these state-of-the-art models. This partnership has been crucial in accelerating the development of our technology, providing us with the opportunity to integrate our proprietary simulation software into more comprehensive business decision workflows.
Within this framework, we were also pleased to support the next generation of corrosion modeling specialists by welcoming VUB PhD students who could leverage our software solutions in their research.
Empowering SMEs through the OIP Platform
One aspect of the VIPCOAT project that truly resonates with Elsyca’s core values is the Open Innovation Platform (OIP). Being able to contribute to the development of an OIP not only pushed the boundaries of our technology but also provided us with a unique opportunity to help create a solution that has the potential to reshape how R&D projects are managed within the European Union. For us, it is also a significant means of consolidating our leadership in corrosion and next-generation coatings modeling solutions.
