CP System for Trenchless CO2 Pipeline Crossing in Perforated HDPE Casing.
The paper discusses designing a cathodic protection system for a 501m HDD CO2 pipeline using computational modeling. A perforated HDPE casing and a combination of impressed current and sacrificial anodes were used to ensure protection while minimizing interference with nearby infrastructure.
Impact of Powerline Reconductoring Program on Pipeline AC Threats.
The paper explores new HVAC transmission lines with carbon fiber cores that double current capacity but pose risks of induced currents on nearby pipelines. A case study examines the safety, corrosion risks, and cost impacts for a 105-mile pipeline after these upgrades.
